The Heritage Project: The Afro-Latinx Music Experience
Join us for the second salon in The Heritage Project series as we discuss African influences on Latin music and cultures. Afro-Latinx musicians will share their experiences as Black members of the music industry. This discussion will capture the spirit of a Harlem Renaissance salon, where Black leaders, intellectuals, activists, artists, educators and business owners come together to discuss matters impacting the Black community.

This discussion will feature Aymée Nuviola, GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award-winning artist; Nestor Torres, Latin GRAMMY Award-winning flutist; and Omilani Alarcón, visual and performing artist, poet, scholar, and award-winning director of the documentary LATINEGRAS. The discussion will be moderated by Deborah Magdalena, community ambassador, performance artist and cultural curator.

Closed captioning will be provided.
